Working as a regulatory economist, developing policy and conducting analysis. Economics degree from the University of Birmingham with previous experience as a government economist and policy researcher.
Member of the Co-op Group’s National Members’ Council, representing members in the governance structures of the UK’s largest consumer co-operative. Also a member of the Business Performance committee.
Volunteered and worked in politics, organising campaigns and developing policy. Led on selections, appeals, and governance as a member of Labour’s West Midlands regional board since 2013. Former member of the National Policy Forum (2015–18). Chair of the West Midlands Regional Co-op Party.
Past experience as a charity trustee at the Guild of Students (2015–17) and a governor at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College. Previously worked at the Alzheimer’s Society, managing stakeholder relations and advising on organisational change.
